He's One of Us [More:] Check out the blue patch on Russell Crowe's vest in the video at the linked web page. Is that a bunny, or is that a bunny?
He does own the rugby team.

I liked that article. But that ride isn't that damn strenuous. Scariest bit is the Sydney traffic.

When asked about her excursion with the manly film star, reporter Cherry Ripe had this to say:

"Um, I, well, thighs and...um, *swoon*!"

Baz Luhrmann could not be reached for comment.

I thought he was charming, but then I've had a man-crush on him ever since L.A. Confidential.

Also, he is not normally this charming with reporters.

I also think it's amusing that as young a country as Australia is, the origin of the team's name is shrouded in mystery:
The most oft repeated version of the origin of the ‘Rabbitohs' name has it that many of the players used to catch and sell rabbits, calling out ‘Rabbitoh!" as they walked the neighbourhood in search of income. Many claimed that players selling rabbits began during The Depression of the 1930s, but the club's stalwart administrator S.G. Ball maintained the practice began in the old Souths rugby union days well before 1908.

A less favoured version has the 'Rabbitoh' term as a derogatory reference to Souths home ground and surrounds being littered with "rabbit ‘oles" (holes). Whatever the origin of the name ‘rabbitohs' it is instantly recognisable, uniquely Australian, and synonymous with no other sporting club on the globe.

gomichild, I just did a q&d gmaps and you're right -- it's probably about 10 miles, 1500 calories, almost all slowly uphill until the end. Doable for an average reasonably fit person, but they are likely to feel it. Rusty's going to have to do rides more like 4500 calories if he wants to get the weight off as he's rumored to be required by contract.
