Cats are weird and funny. But mostly weird.
My cat used to take a shower with me.

That's the hard way to get a drink of water.

what? like you've never done that?

I think the jazz music in the background really completes the video.

My cat will take a shower with me if she's in there when I start. If she's not, she'll paw at the glass like a mad thing until I let her in. Then she'll lick the door clean. Strange damn cat.

The other cat would kill me in my sleep if I got her wet.

The cat forgot to turn the water off when it was done.

One of our cats, which was diagnosed with feline leukemia a year ago, has been going downhill, not eating or drinking.

The vet (which came to our house) said that he has an infected tooth, which he took out. Plus his heart and lungs are not good.

No knowing what was going on, we had been hydrating him (subcutaneously) and thinking that maybe the leukemia's caught up with him.

Now he's on antibiotics, steroids, and the vet added some vitamins to the fluid bag, so he may make it through the weekend, or may not.

Daughter is on her way down from Portland, though, to help, as he's been *her* cat. Earlier I was resigned to him dying (we have been doing well to keep him healthy) but now I am hoping, really hoping he pulls through this time also.

danf, I hope your kitty pulls through too!

oh man, danf, I feel for you. Mine are still young and I can't bear the thought of someday losing them.

re: video - no way in hell would mine do that. they'd stare at it curiously but would run off if they got one drop on them.

Aw, dan, that sucks. Hugs to you and your daughter.

Daughter's here. . .the cat seems on his way out, on her lap. . .we can always hope but we are trying to keep him comfortable.. .(although we gave him his antibiotics and steriods tonight, and irrigated him . . .to not do so would be giving up.

Thank you for the wishes, po, desjardins, and deborah.
