Photo Friday: Text, context, and texture. Which is a fancy way of saying, photos of signs! Signs in funny places, rusty signs, "ghost signs," any kind of sign.

Sign hanging from some shop in Musashi-Sakai, Japan.

This is a topic I love, I take pictures of signs all the time. I have a whole photo album from signs I took pictures of in Japan here and I took tons on my recent bicycle tour that I have yet to transfer over. But I did take a few cameraphone pics of all the tsunami evacuation signs - I love their semiotics. Here's one of them:
