Is the metachat header bar screwed up for all of you, or is it just me?[More:]I use firefox 3. It looks OK in IE. But in FF, "METACHAT" overlaps some of the words on the right. It's been this way for a couple of days.
FireFox 3.0.12 specifically.

looks fine to me.

Funny. It does it on one of my machines, but not the other. Clearing the cache doesn't help...

Screwed up for me, but wasn't earlier today. The "Metachat" header is right of centre and I can see "ch" from the search link and all of "logout" images on/off" and "recent comments".

Oops: XP and Firefox 3.5.1.

Yes, deborah, exactly. (thank you!)

I have been meaning to post this. It's not just you. I also notice that hovering over the artbar on the left shows you "photo by user>" with the terminal angle bracket, which I don't remember being there.

Would post a screenshot but I'm late for dinner and the missus is yelling at me.

Me too! Vista Firefox 3.5.1

I see the image thing Eideteker mentioned, but the headbar looks fine to me. Firefox 3.0.12 and XP.

This happens on both computers for me. FWIW, I'm having a similar problem on livejournal comment pages. No issue when viewing in IE Tab or IE View (firefox extensions). I'm guessing Mozilla broke something, rather than the site being borked.

I think you're probably right, Eideteker, old chap, Sportsfilter is also gone all wobbly. Your expertise is reassuring!

If you guys are using AdBlock, try turning that off temporarily.

I tried and restarted, disabling AdBlock didn't seem to help. I'll go one-by-one through my other add-ons to test. Maybe no-script? We'll see.

Good point about add-ons, I did have a few updates a few days ago, just before I noticed the Mecha logo problem. Then again, Firefox updated itself not too long ago as I remember. We'll see.

I use flashblock, adblock, scrapbook and noscript (scripts allowed for metachat). Both my machines have the same firefox version and add-ons. But only the XP machine is affected. My Vista machine displays things fine.

Eide's screenshot is exactly what I'm seeing. I don't use Adblock and all scripts are allowed on Metachat.

Yeah, mine's the same as Eid's screenshot. And then, because I am an idiot, I thought mine was extra broken because I was trying to find the comment box whilst still on Eid's screenshot.

When I click on the 'Metachat' in its wrong place, as the screen refreshes, it goes, just for a moment, back to where it should be and then moves again.

I'm scared ... hold me someone ...

I think I know why this is happening:

You son of a bitch. You moved the cemetery, but you left the bodies, didn't you? You son of a bitch, you left the bodies and you only moved the head stones. You only moved the head stones. Why? Why?

Hey, FireFox just upgraded itself to 3.0.13 and the problem is fixed!
posted by DarkForest 04 August | 14:24
Well, I just got 3.5.2 rolled out (similar security issue?) and no change.

Mainly annoying because I have to go into a thread (like this one) to use the NEW POST link at the bottom, instead of on the topbar.

3.0.13 just updated and the problem was fixed at first but is now back.
posted by essexjan 04 August | 16:34
Mine is fine now, but I don't know what precipitated the fineness.

Tried a couple refreshes and it's still borked.

Bork! Bork! Bork!

IT'S FIXED! IT'S FIXED!

Fixed for me, on two computers, using two different versions of Firefox.
