Another Wedding Announced: ARCHIE and VERONICA! →[More:]Obviously I'm late to this party (my invitation must have gotten lost in the mail). But there's a series of Archie issues starting in September with ish #600 that have him getting married - in future-themed, "What if...?", alternate-reality storylines. (Apparently he'll also marry Betty at some point in her alternate world). CNN rounds up what Betty and others are saying on their blogs. Of course, you can trust the comix geeks to point out that it's happened before.

Anyway, I know what I'm gonna be readin' at the beach.

I'm looking forward to the What If storyline where he trades places with Wolverine during the crucial apex of the Dark Phoenix saga, dooming the other X-Men -- and the universe itself -- to destruction while Wolvie explores the strange violence and lusts of his new dimension. It's possible that Jughead will be decapitated in this story.
