I saw this coming a mile away Remember my mother in law?[More:] The one who remarried around two months after her husband died-to a younger guy she met on the Internet??? She in her seventies and he in his fifties?

Well, she kicked him out today. Apparently he was a raging alcoholic, and worse.

She's seeking an annulment, too...hasn't told my husband her grounds but apparently there are some.

I feel bad for her, but she's a tough old bird and she will get thru this.

And I lay odds that before the year is out, she'll find another guy....
Some people just can't be by themselves regardless.

Can't imagine the rebound after being married N decades.

At 45 and still single, I'm quite used to being alone.

Whew! At least she didn't marry a gay. That would have ruined one of our sacred institutions!

Eideteker, that was a snarky comment,(and I do get your point) but for all I know he might have been. Or not....she still hasn't spilled why she thinks she can get an annulment. And this from a woman who already had two divorces and one widowhood.

My husband swears she said she's done with marriage. Who knows? She did get the new kitchen floor and the siding put up out of this marriage, at least. ;-)

If she does go internet shopping for a man again, that's fine but I hope she keeps her search local and then, actually goes on dates for awhile and gets to KNOW the person????? I do want her to be happy. But I think she could be happy alone too, if she would give herself the chance to find out!
