Bumping a Greenie Over Here. . . Since it's not getting much attention over there.[More:] What cellphone do you currently have, and do you like it or hate it and why?
Is "Bumping a Greenie" an euphemism for smoking dope? 'Cause it should be.
It sounds awfully dirty, but I'm not quite sure how.

G1, love it, because it can do everything an iPhone can do, and more, and T-Mobile beats the pants off of ATT (in Chicago, at least.)

But I also like it for nerdy reasons. Non-nerds might prefer a Pre or iPhone.

Ultimately, I was spoiled by having a phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard, and when it came time for a new phone, it had to have that. For the most part, once you decide you need a physical QWERTY, you're limited to behemoths of phones. Of all that I looked at, the G1 beats them all.

It's got a touch screen, so it's not invincible, but the body is rock-solid, and they make some pretty durable cases as well.

Oh, and "greenie" is typically a euphemism for amphetamines, so in theory, "bumping a greenie" would be snorting amphetamines. Probably not recommended.

I've got a Razr. I neither love nor hate it. It's lasted for a few years of constant pocket-carry and moderately rough use, which is the main thing I ask of a cellphone (its eventual replacement will have a better camera, though).

Bumping a greenie is what Captain Kirk does on weekends.

qvantamon is correct. That is something I think about during those special times alone.

In my Starfleet jammies. Phaser on, oh never mind!

Another G1 owner. Like it: great web browser, nice user interface, capacitive touchscreen (i.e finger not stylus, lots of functions and free apps available.

Would love it except for two problems: short battery life, long boot-up time.

I'm generally pretty tech-happy, but for some reason that doesn't extend to phones at all. The idea of a long boot-up time for a phone just makes me laugh and laugh and laugh.

I use a Nokia 1112, which is so simple that all it does is:

• calls
• texts
• wakes you up
• works as a flashlight

It doesn't even have left or right buttons - only up, down, clear, on/off, and enter! It's a total tank and you can pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Whoops, it's a Nokia 1108.

It only counts hipster points if it's held together by duct tape.

I have a Centro because the Pre is not available on cingular yet.

I use a refurbished Motorola v171. It was $19.99, and when it dies, I'm going to get another one just like it.

Remember: to a 21st century humanoid, your phone is your umbilical cord to cyberspace.
