Subliminal MetaHouse I painted the new house last week and inadvertently ended up with a blue kitchen, gray office and greenish bedroom. OY.
Ooh, I like it them all. I think some art with lots of yellow would look great on those cobalt blue walls.

Hay I think that's real nice, stewie! Calming color for the bedroom, bright semigloss on the kitchen walls; you have really good-looking floors. If any of the rooms seem monotonous even with art on the walls, think about area rugs or carpets to liven things up.

Nice paint job, though. You can tell from the pics that care was taken in priming the walls, etc. Looks great!

Wow, you're way more adventurous than me. I'm sticking to 'magnolia' throughout (a very light yellowy-peach shade).

My Indian tapestry arrived today. It was going to be hung in the bedroom, but it's like a gorgeous piece of abstract modern art, so I think I might frame it and put it in the living room instead. The colours will go well with my new sofa.

It looks great. Good luck with the move!

So which room do guests have to go into to ask a question?

Pretty!

That would be the bedroom, Slack-a-gogo.

:::groan:::

I swear it was unintentional. The other rooms are a chocolate/cream combo and a taupe. Neutrals.

So I'll have to go to the kitchen to be snarky, I guess.

Stew, I think you need a few more colors for you know, projects and music and stuff like that. :-D

Actually, the bedroom does look more like projects, doesn't it. I can't tell if that's better or worse.

Depending on how popular your project is, you could end up doing it in the kitchen.

That is totally a weird coinkydink. Look at the comment I made on MeTa this morning...totally unrelated. I hadn't even looked here yet!

And I hadn't seen your comment, either, Miko!

Nice handywork! :)

My bathroom is almost the same color as your kitchen! When I bought the paint I brought a Doctor Who poster in and asked for "tardis blue."

Is the top one the bedroom? Looks more turquoise Meta to me than the bottom one.

Anyway, beautiful paint job. Can I hire you and your parents? I can only pay you in cat snuggles and dog kisses.

deborah--how do I say this? I never want to use a paintbrush ever again. OK, maybe just not for a while. We painted probably 3/4 of a 1575 sq foot house in three days. Fixing plaster, sanding, washing the walls with some caustic substance, then rinsing, then priming, then painting. The paint often took two coats. We worked 8-12 hour days from Wednesday through Sunday. Blargh. I do NOT look forward to eventually changing the one remaining BR and the baths.

The top picture is indeed the bedroom.
