Tomorrow I need to avoid foot stink. How do I do this? [More:]

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to have a mole on my foot examined. By 3:30 in the afternoon, my feet are going to be smelly. I won't have time to go home before the appointment. I'll be wearing sandals.

What can I do to either avoid the stink, or to mitigate it immediately before my appointment? The only thing I've come up with so far is hand sanitizer.
Bring some baby wipes and freshen up in the bathroom?

Hey, baby wipes! Why didn't I think of that?

(It's because I don't have baby.)

I'm pretty sure I don't have a baby either. :)

Oh take some flip flops, change out of your normal shoes when you get to the appointment place, WASH your feet in the sink*, dry them with paper towels, and put on the new shoes.

*Try not to let people see!

I've used hand sanitizer followed by foot spray followed by baby wipes (I had *very* stinky shoes). I do think the baby wipes worked the best (and not just because they were last).

I use Johnson's Baby Powder on hot days here - is it available in the US? (it's basic talcum powder with a nice scent - absorbs the sweat).

I think if my feet were to be examined I would remove the residual talc and sweat with a baby wipe before said examination. Good luck!

I'd skip sandals and wear shoes with socks- ideally natural shoes, like cotton sneakers or leather. Bamboo socks are, for future reference, awesome with combating hardcore foot stench. It seems like the bare skin against the sole of a shoe directly creates a dangerous situiation in terms of odor level.

Too bad more public restrooms don't have foot baths.
