What's happening?→[More:]Me? I'm at the bar, and I'm drinking sour beers.
Just woke up twenty minutes ago. Spent the day at Jenness Beach doing a beach clean-up with Blue Ocean Society, then lounged in the water and sand for a couple of hours. Good, good napping time on the beach.
Drove around some back roads in Maine, found some ludicrously-large houses with ancestral names attached and No Trespassing signs everywhere, so I trespassed.
Came home, stinging from sunburn and slept some more.
Going to see Star Trek movie finally - leaving soon.
Hoping that the latest pipe fitting leak issue is fixed now, after 4 fucking rounds of trying to re-solder it. (At least it was a slow leak that I caught quickly and therefore didn't fuck my downstairs neighbors AGAIN.)
Wasting some time until 915 when I can go pick up my dad from the airport and then return to my house to eat dinner and go to bed since I have to work in the morning.
Wondering what the chances are that my brother is actually going to be installing the washer/dryer tomorrow, considering that he's said he's going to do it since....2 weeks ago.
Spent the day with The Grandbun doing such interesting things as riding a carousel and consuming a mall m&m cookie. Also dealing with normal two year old behavior. Enjoying watching my daughter deal with all the same things I had to deal with with her at that age.....hehehehehehe.....
Went out to do a couple of car test drives. Drove a Honda Fit and a Subaru Impreza after driving a Mazda 3 and a VW Jetta last week. I think that we've settled on the Fit, it just seems like a much better design than any of the others that we looked at or drove and you get a hell of a lot of car for the money. Had a hard time finding cars with clutches to drive, 90% of new cars at dealerships are automatics these days, I wanted to drive a Toyota Matrix but the manual seems to be mythical.
Went to an afternoon BBQ that was mostly populated by drunk people I didn't know playing drinking games (which I don't play). Eh. I had my hot dog, drank my Mike's, and talked to the two people I did know. Now I'm off to feed my friends' cats.
Spent the day running errands, getting a haircut, laundry, stuff, things etc.
Now I am relaxing. Later I'm going to a BBQ, then a party on the beach which I am mildly excited about.
Relaxed while the spawn spent time with their dad. Power cleaned the bathroom. Trying to find a bit of whatever is under this laptop keyboard keeping me from typig radom letters.
i just finished going thru everyone's posts about the last 10 random songs on their players . lots for me to download, lots i already had and now my wrist is sore lol
Made grilled veg sandwiches for a late dinner, had brocolli, jalepeno chips, and a screwdriver spritzer (vodka, OJ, seltzer) on the side.
Okay, two screwdriver spritzers.
Watched two episodes from the first season of "Battlestar Galactica"; we waited a loooooong time to get started watching it, miraculously avoiding spoilers so far. I'm really digging the show.
Now lying down with an ice pack on my sore back and getting some email read. For some reason, I cannot stop sneezing. Have sneezed maybe ten times since I laid down. I assume this indicates I am a Cylon.
We had dunch/lunner at Ricky's, the mister played WoW, I played Lord of the Rings Online (LotRO), we took a break and watched COPS, I'm checking out MetaChat and we're going to play our respective MMORPGs again.
Octothorpe - try the Nissan Versa. We bought one last year and have been very pleased with it. If we'd had a bit more money we'd have gone for the Matrix.
