Brain chemistry is a strange thing. By rights, I should be in a lousy mood, but I am (naturally) high as a kite. Et vous?

Today was mostly a hectic, stressful mess, but my family came over early this evening to help me pack. I bought a big batch of chicken wings and macaroni salad, and all went well. I still need to get my files in order though. Ugh to that, but otherwise, my mind is in a really pleasant space right now.

It is bizarre stuff, and a constant source of frustration to me that we aren't able to exert more conscious control over it, while minor external factors or metabolism or innately grumpy synapses rule us. Oh yes, The Whelk: I remarked to someone just yesterday, "It pisses me off that my entire outlook on life can be changed by eating a tuna sandwich."

I was in a lousy mood but then I drank some beer and whiskey and now my mood is better. Brain chemistry is a very simple thing.

I'm in the process of damping down my brain chemicals. I then plan to fold my laundry and curl up in bed and hope that my brother and his friend Chris don't show up before the pills have worn off because otherwise they'll just have to deal with my silliness.
