Welcome Back - It was great to see posts from ethylene, getoffmylawn, jonmc, jrossi, pips and our exalted leader - taz. I missed y'all guyz.
:)

it seems like whatever I do... I can't stop doing it.

First I'm online all the time, too much time, always... and then I was offline, and couldn't seem to get back on. Mentally. But, physically, I had some help staying off; I had an embarrassing cyst on the part of the body most critically important for cyberlife... and that would be, not the brain, not the typing hands, but the butt, bob.

That's better now. Here are some pix... okay, not really. I also shed a houseguest yesterday, and V. is working on a new short film, so things are pretty much back to normal in my life for the moment. I consumed a lot of books. Like a dozen.

Thank god! Now I can stop having to answer all those e-mails asking where you went;-)

Awesome, taz, did you read anything especially good?

(I just finished Then We Came to the End, which although only 2 years old, feels really dated. It's set in the 90's and as I read it, I recognized the voices and the experiences, but they felt discrete--very tied to their moment. It was perceptive and entertaining, but you had to be there, I think, in that sort of moment of corporate identity to appreciate it)

Among other things, I read Robin Hobbs' Farseer Trilogy and Joe Abercrombie's First Law trilogy, both really great.

Yay, I love Robin Hobb, and the Farseer Trilogy in particular.
