3-point Friday update →[More:]
1. I'm used to dealing with internet lawyers in my job (you know, people who look up 'the law' on the internet and then misuse it in support of their case) and it's very common for people to head their letters to me '
without prejudice' (and without having any clue what it means, but because they think it sounds official). But today's internet lawyer complainant takes the prize. His letter was headed "Without Pride And Prejudice Or Malice Aforethought".
(And, I might add, without 'Sense and Sensibility' or 'Persuasion' either ...)
2. I have a cold, which is at the big sneeze stage. There's a meetup tonight in London, but it's probably not a good idea for a sneezy me to be in a crowded Tube train or a pub. I'm more likely to have cat flu than swine flu, but I don't need an angry mob carrying flaming torches chasing me through Oxford Circus.
3. I'm a huge fan of King of the Hill, so I was excited to read about
The Goode Family today. It's probably be ages before it arrives in the UK, but if it's half as good as KOTH, it'll be worth the wait.
