Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains was something I discovered on the movie channel on a Sunday afternoon in 1983. Weird and wonderful and Ray Winstone as the lead singer. As a nice double bill I would suggest Breaking Glass, another sadly neglected (and one I like more) movie in a similar vein with Hazel O'Connor and Jonathan Pryce.

I saw that ages ago on A&E (I think) really late at night and whenever I mentioned the movie to people I got a lot of blank looks. I picked up the DVD release of it that they did a little while ago and it was great to see it again, although it was a little better in my memory. The disc has a fun commentary track with Diane Lane and Laura Dern that is worth a listen.
