Free stuff from the land down under! I got an anonymous box of treats from Australia today! Who's my secret sweetheart? (Also, what are TimTams? The package says "biscuit", but this doesn't look like the biscuits my grandma makes.)
Solve this anagram: Antenna Jar Ghost

amirite????

Yay! Mystery solved! A big thank you to goshling for the bounty from the other side of the planet. I promise not to share the treats with my children. (Don't want them to develop a taste for such exotic treats and all...)

That was me, sorry :)

There was supposed to be a letter enclosed, but I got so invloved in packing it all into that little box I forgot to put the letter the in.

In Aus/UK biscuit is a cookie. Tim Tams are a HUGELY popular Australian bikkie (short for biscuit).

I'll type up the gist of the letter and explain the reason I sent you a random box of Australian junk and treats, because you've proabably forgotten the exhcange that prompted me to send it. Hope you & the girls enjoy!

And let me tell you, folks, that was one well packed box. In a tiny box there were koozies, stickers, button, candies, and biscuits. A king's treasure!

(Oh, and TimTams f-ing rock!)

Goddammit, I've been dying to try TimTams. Everyone's all OH TIMTAMS ARE THE BEST AND YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY IN THE US and then I cry and they're like OOOH YOU GONNA CRY and I'm like yeah, man, because, you know, I want cookies too, and they're like SUCK IT, AMERICAN GUY and then I wish I was Batman.

I miss tim tams. My friends bring them over when they come visit. My mum sends them sometimes. But it's never enough.

They're supposedly available in the US at Target, middleclasstool. Brought to you by Pepperidge Farm. I say supposedly because I've actually never seen them.

middleclasstool, email me ( goshling@gmail.com ) your postal address & I'll hook you up some Tim Tams. Personally, I don't see what all the fuss is about, but some people WORSHIP those things.

lol! Be brave and ask for some musk-flavored Lifesavers or lollies in your next care package, ColdChef.

gaspode, sure do, there were some in the package I sent coldchef, and I think I've sent some to gomichild in the past.

I think I'm becoming a bit of an exporter of Australian chocolatey delights. YUMMY

Wha'd I tell, ya, eh? Tim Tams are THE TOTAL BOMB!!!

And they're not hard to find here in Tokyo, at any number of the imported food shops, which is a fine thing.

And goshling, what a fantastically sweet thing for you to do, sending that package. I'm starting to really like you MeCha people!

Lucky ColdChef!

One day you may have a chance to try a Penguin biscuit, the British Tim Tam and it's original inspiration. Naturally, it is better, as all British chocolate is better than Australian chocolate. I speak from a lifetime of experience.

Tim Tams good, Penguins better.

If you need to try any of the slightly different mixes of sugar, fat and cocoa derivatives, try cybercandy who have a pretty comprehensive range.

I remember when I first started "inhabiting" the 'net and our group actually had a U.S./Australian TimTam connection/exchange/whatever. We sent money, fanfic, other goodies, they sent TimTams. It was awesome.

I can't imagine how much easier such a thing would be nowadays.

Heh, at work, we deliver some workshops to organisations to help them understand what the audits we do are about and what we'll be looking for. At every workshop, someone invariably asks what the most important thing to prepare for an audit is. Our response is always "give the auditor Tim Tams". It's amazing how that has got around the industry and how often we arrive to conduct an audit to find a plate of Tim Tams sitting on the table.

What a sweet thing to do, goshling. Very classy.
