Wow, that would be traumatizing.
I don't know if I would trust the coach's speed calculations, either.
What happens if the kid gets a leg cramp or something? CHOMP

...though to tell you the truth, it kind of reminds me of the swimming races we had at summer camp down in Tennessee. Camper vs. camper vs. water moccasin. And yes, they would chase you.
