Ahhhhhhh...... [More:]

I'se in good mood, yah. Just finished an epic set at the station wherein I got to play music I never play on my own show - namely, Turbonegro, Danko Jones, Brightblack Morning Light, Wooden Shijps, even some Nashville Pussy. MMMMMM. Furious and fun.

The extra-special bonus of the evening is finding out the station had a copy of the Bloody Hollies CD, which is absolute sonic destruction at it's finest.

Life, she is good. Now I have to think about what I'm doing for tomorrow's show in the a.m., as in 6am.

Ooog.

Would I have to have a life to know what those are?

Turbonegro = super-offensive, superheavy Nordic punk. Think Motorhead with a serious antisocial psychopathic outlook.

Danko Jones = sleazy throttle back soul music about fucking.

Brightblack Morning Light = uber-stoner music with fuzzy 60's, early Pink Floyd vibe.

Wooden Shijps = see Brightblack Morning Light, only faster and more psychedelic.

Nashville Pussy = what the guy who lives in the meth trailer listens to. Hard, sloppy, raspy Southern rock about drugs, girls and hating life.

Meanwhile, caught in the eye of a blizzard of flames, in order to survive, the alpha denim recruits were forced to strip down to their Scandinavian leather...

TURBONEGRO MUST BE DESTROYED!

Motorhead? I think I've heard the name....

At this point, I just smile when people talk about music I've never heard (or heard of). Still, I ask about it; it's how I discovered Royksopp, Feist, and ummmmm... others I can't remember right now.
