I saw a lone cherry blossom. [More:]Trees, at least, are proceeding with the baseless notion that spring is here. Other signs of spring?
The layer of pollen on my car and temps in the 70s are good indicators that spring is here.

The snow has turned brown? (Seriously, I was pointing out some snow to my daughter but she couldn't see it because it was brown and had last year's leaves stuck in the ice.)

If I could find my camera cable, I'd show you my neighbor's cherry tree. It's gorgeous.

I'm back in Queens now, but when I was down in Maryland, I saw a couple ten-year olds on line at the grocery store fooling around with their lacrosse sticks. Also, I filled out my bracket for March Madness. The older nephew started soccer practice.

Dogs have begun to blow their coats.

There's one bush in the backyard that goes nuts when it's still too cold for anything else. It's beyond nuts and totally covered in pink blossoms. No idea what the bush is, I should take a photo and ask, but I'm way too lazy.

Hmm, this sounds like a good Photo Friday theme.

Courting cardinals and crocuses in Mardi Gras colors in the narrow strip of woods outside my window.

And Rita's is open.
