Oh, man... DO NOT miss this MeFi post. You may be tempted to say, "Well, see here, I'm a rebel, and I'm not clicking that thing. I won't do it." but that would be wrong, wrong, wrong. So wrong. Just clicky. You do it now.
Unfortunately, the site is blocked by my work filters, so I can't share the awesomeness. Thanks for building up my hopes, then dashing them on the rocks of despair. Appreciated.
If MeFi is blocked, try this; it's the main linked site from the post. But... it's all about the sound, so, if that's a problem then you will have to continue to suffer the dashing of the hoping on the rocky rocks of ouchy despair.
See, stuff like this is such an incredibly mixed bag for me, because (a) it's just amazing as hell and I'm grateful to have been alive to witness it, but (b) it also crushes me yet again with the realization of what a lazy motherfucker I am. I've got a dust-covered harmonica somewhere in a drawer that I can barely play "Three Blind Mice" on, but this dude is out there tearing shit up.
Taz, thanks a hell of a whole lot. You just made me lose an hour of work. It's all your fault.
Really though, this is tremendous. My mind is blown. "I'm New" is gorgeous.
TAZ, thanks so much for posting this. I don't normally click on music and/or art links at MeFi, and so I missed this, and only saw it because of your post here.
My eyes are filled with tears and there is a lump in my throat. Air is coming out of my mouth but I can't turn it into words. Maybe I am naive. Maybe I am easily stunned. But I think we're seeing a watershed moment here, as it happens. Next level stuff, indeed.
taz, it's not MeFi that's blocked at work (god forbid), it's the site itself. Probably some content on the site, actually, because I get to see the funky design, but not the awesome content.
No, the status bar shows something on the page as "http://workurlblocked ...", which tell sme something on the page is being blocked. Now that I'm back in the land of the living after spending all week in Mount Isa, I'll have a look when I get home.
