This is completely irresponsible. Those kids are being taught that it's safe to get close to dinosaurs. What happens when they see a dinosaur outside the museum and want to pet it?
Thanks for posting that. I think I'll study it all week. It's an amazing behavior test: most of the adults are awed by the beast along with the kids. If the thing was to rush at anyone in the room, there would be a serious panic. With that fear clearly removed, the adults get used to it the way anyone confronting a huge scary dog that was clearly under human control would. The human legs are likely exposed to be clear consolation for kids (and adults) who are truly frightened.
Though I do question any teaching tool that relaxes anyone around an animal that, were it alive, would eat those kids like so much popcorn.
