One Of My Oldest Friends Just Got A Rave Review From The Little Man! [More:]

This review is from the SF Gate, and the play is by Matt Pelfrey, who is one of my oldest friends, all the way back to the 5th grade.

It's fantastic to see his career storming the gates like this.

Killing My Lobster is also one of the greatest sketch comedy/improv teams in the country - if you ever get a chance to see them live, do so. It's a life-changing experience. They're absolutely brilliant.
That's great... but I can't focus after clicking the "Courtney Love heads for the Hills - as renter" link on that page.

Is it just me, or is the one-time kinderwhore-r venturing dangerously far into Wildenstein territory?

I dig Courtney Love, man. She gets a bad rap - I like her music a ton and we need ballsy women like that in the world.

Celebrity Skin and Live Through This are great records.

Courtney Love was my neighbor a few years back.

Blood, semen, drugs and movie references get splattered about. Pelfrey, resident playwright for Los Angeles' Furious Theatre, may be the first to squeeze acts of pedophilia and necrophilia into one play or to put Viagra to really comic use.

Um....awesome?

No seriously - this is great. Having heard a bit about this author friend of LT's I'm excited that he is achieving note for his work. Way to be.

You'd have to read the script, Miko. My friend Matt is firmly in the David Mamet school of coarse language and what-all, but usually played for comic effect to point out character weirdness.

I'm not really on board with a lot of his material, but each time out he gets better with it. It'd be nice to see him do something more subdued, but I'm projecting onto his work with that statement.
