OMG EGG BUNNY My second attempt at making bento. I splurged a whole 100 yen on a bunny shaped egg press. I hope my husband's coworkers are amused tomorrow on the construction site.

Do you bento?
I have a spare bedroom, if you need someplace to stay while you make those for me.

Just sayin'.

Well good, because, it would be just ... just wrong to eat Miffy.

Oh, that's so precious. I mean that in a good way. So cute. So. So. Cute.

Very cute and it looks like even I'd eat most of it. I'd have to pass on the seafood type stuff, though.

I had to look up JPY to CAD - 76 to 1. So the egg press cost less than a Toonie, cool!

What's a tooni?
posted by dabitch 02 March | 16:51
A toonie is Canadian speak for a $2 coin. So named because the $1 coin (which came out first) has a loon on it, so it became loonie, which beget twoonie when the $2 coin came out.

ah thanks, I've had this explained to me before but it just won't stick. I probably hafta go to Canada and touch them so that I can remember their name,

You guys are all so cool. For reals, man.

Thank you for unintentionally answering my question, deborah.
I'm not too familiar with money in Japan, and wasn't sure if 100 yen was a lot or a little.
posted by CitrusFreak12 03 March | 00:54
Oh sorry - yes I was being a bit sarcastic - 100 yen is about one US dollar.

You're welcome, CF. I wasn't either.
