the "i'd still be married to you, but you'd be hotter" "ooooh!" got a good response at my house.

Apparently, last night's episode was the first one broadcast in high definition, which explains the re-jiggered title sequence. I don't have an HDTV, though, so I noticed that throughout the episode, much of the action at the edges of the screen was being cut off. At times, a character would be delivering a line, and all I could see was his ear. It was a little weird. Good episode, though.

I think that's not so much the HD thing as the widescreen thing. I was surprised they went to widescreen, but I suppose the alternative is black bars on the side, on whatever with the standards specify for proper 720p.

If widescreen Simpsons means more of those pause-button sight gags, I'm not only all for it, I'm also a little excited.
