Boo! Yay! thread. I'll start.

Boo! I had an appointment to call the Complainant from Hell this morning. Yes, the same one from two years ago.

Yay! He left me a voicemail saying he's unwell, so the evil day has been postponed.

Boo! Because of meetings, I had to work through lunch today.

Yay! I'm working from home tomorrow and Friday.

Boo! I got half-way home this evening and realised I'd left my handbag in the office (I had a rolling briefcase, and forgot I'd also brought in a handbag because this morning it was inside the empty briefcase, which is now full of files.) So I had to go all the way from Stratford to the office and then back again, in the rush hour, in the rain.

Yay! I got my gas bill today and am nearly £115 in credit. As the worst of the winter months are hopefully behind us, I can run the heating when I need to without worrying about the expense.

Double Yay! Project Runway is on tonight. Tim Gunn is my Fantasy Gay Husband. If we were married he'd help me look stylish, and we'd giggle and gossip about the PR contestants.

Boo! More people I know here in town are getting laid off with no safety nets available.

Yay! The monster icicle that was hanging over our apartment entrance got hacked down by the super today.

Boo! My asinine upstairs neighbors are yakking it up at full volume.

Yay! Went to the gym today and broke some weight lifting thresholds - up to 130 lb. tricep pulldowns and over 700 calories in cardio.

Double Yay! It's like 50 degrees outside and I can have my apartment windows open without freezing.

Boo! My plan to make new stats workbooks for our wee department of 4 has turned into a massive 60+ page THING OF DOOM. And is likely giving me some sort of clicky finger problem because of having to resize every.single.fucking.column.one.at.a.time.

Yay! The online pay stubs are up and my check is big! (It's been bouncing around because I got a 3.5% bump and then there was some issues with the HSA moneies being withdrawn and I adjusted my withholdings and I've also got some overtime coming my way.)

Boo! I felt like and idiot twice today at work. (I forgot that I had a request on my cart for an hour when normally we turn them around in 30 minutes and I was late for the afternoon courier pickup so I had three things that didn't go out today and they should have.)

Yay! The week is almost over for me! (I work the Sunday-Thursday half day shift.)

Boo! My parents might not let me stay at my brother's house this weekend to housesit and feed the kitties. (They didn't last time he went out of town.)

Yay! I have BSG waiting for me on my computer when I get home.

Boo! It's Valentine's Day this weekend. Ugh.

Boo! The Spousal Unit has a cold.

Yay! She's getting better, bit by bit.

Boo! + Yay! I had a root canal. Two hours in The Chair.

Boo! Root canal caused temp crown to fall off last night.

Yay! Doc put permanent crown on this morning instead of next week. That particular tooth is Done!

Boo! cramps.
Yay! getting it over with before Important Meeting in Charlotte on Saturday.
Yay! got a free yummy lunch today AND a sponsorship for the nonprofit I volunteer with.

Boo! I hate to hear the personal stories of economic woes. I want all my friends, both meat and virtual, to not be stressing about money woes.

Boo! It's snowing, like really really hard, and I'm going to have to wear my ugly boots tomorrow. Which kind of don't fit.

Yay! It's snowing, like really really hard, so most of my students might just not show up tomorrow and things will be mellow.

Boo! I have to go into the bank tomorrow and tell them I'm going to Morocco and to not lock the card, and getting an English speaker in there is kind of dicey and awkward.

Yay! I'm going to Morocco!

Boo! I don't think I was paid according to my contract for some overtime I did last weekend, and neither was anyone else.

Yay! It's still WAY MORE money than I thought I'd get - basically a week's pay!

Yay! No more dental work for another 6 months.

Boo! I seem to have a mild cold, which could be the return of some long-gone cat allergies, but I'm not sure. Hope it's just a cold.

Yay! I'm going to Brigham's for lunch (and ice cream!!) on Saturday. (Not V-day related, just catching up with my terrific aunt.)

Boo! I can't give all my friends and family the attention they want, because I need time to myself.
