urgh, flu sucks. If you can function well enough to get to the computer, though, you're not doing too bad (not trying to tell you it's not bad, mind).

Do NOT try to do anything, or go to work - order in food from the supermarket if that service is available to you, take acetaminophen, drink as much fluid as you can (it won't be much) and keep eating little bits throughout the day. It'll go, but don't be surprised if it takes two weeks.

Awesome! I had a flu fever so intense once that the radiator in my room began speaking French and telling me stories. But I just went with it - more like a "hunh - radiator knows French. Makes sense." kind of vibe.

Oh, man, the aches and fever really get to you after a while. I hope your body has some defense built up from last time and kicks it out on the curb pretty quickly!

About 10 years ago, I had the flu and went to the doctor. He prescribed something (Tamiflu?) that made it go away MUCH quicker than it would have otherwise. I was better the next day, and almost totally fine the day after that. I think you have to take it within 24 hours of the first symptoms. If you can swing that, I'd highly recommend it.
