OMG Kitteh! Iz Wurking Gurl! So apparently there are now "cat cafes" in Japan where you can pay a few dollars and soak up some kitteh love.
For quite some time I've wanted to open up a restaurant that sold soporific food and had an adjoining napping parlor with staff who are really great at waking people up after they sleep off lunch; perhaps the cat idea could be folded into the napping parlor. The place could have cats that were specially chosen for their cuddling abilities (or for a propensity to stand on sleeper's chests to wake them). I mean, the place names itself: Catnap Cafe.
I've also often wondered whether anyone ever tried living in that big pink bunny.
I've spent a lot of time in airports over the years and after seeing this I can't help but think in a busy airport a small quite place with a few dogs and cats and big comfy chairs would be a winner.
If I was at O'Hare or Logan or LAX I'd pay $10 for a nice cup of tea and 30 minutes to just relax and scratch some lazy kitties and happy doggies.
I think the idea of a chat with a puppy in an airport is amazing. It would certainly lower my blood pressure when traveling. But.
I can't help thinking this would be stressful for the critters, having all those stressed-out strangers around. Anxious dogs are misbehaving dogs, not happy lap-sitting, nap-taking dogs. I'd just feel sorry for them.
