Miko, thank you for this.

Mr. LP is going to be laid off tomorrow (as best as we can tell.) He was scheduled to go to Brazil for three months spanning December through February, but they've called him back after announcing layoffs. Coupled with a trumped up bad review, we see the writing on the wall. I begin my last semester of University in January. My father is out of work as well. We have talked about circling the wagons and moving into my parents house, to help them make payments while I finish school and Mr. LP finds work. I'm already looking for entry level positions in PR and the pickings are slim. I'm considering getting my teaching credential so I have a backup plan - assuming the state of California can pay me to teach.

Reading this article gave me pause from my worries and brought me out of myself. This beautiful story is what the holiday season is about. Light, Love and Giving. Thank you for giving me all three.
