Thank god for video evidence, because I'm guessing that without it, that dickbag cop's phony "assaulting an officer" charge would have stuck. They need to make an example of this asshole and really throw the book at him.

Yeah, I missed that story back when it happened, but WOW. I'd really like to know what made the cop target Long. As Atom Eyes says, thankfully that video exists.

I wonder about why he picked that guy to knock over too. I thought maybe the office was strolling out of the middle of the street and, as the cyclist moved to go around him, just thought "hey! that bastard could maybe have possibly run me over, so I'll knock him down!". But I don't know.

Ugh. So disheartening on so many levels.

Yep, so glad someone was filming at the time. It's so obvious that the bicyclist was trying to go around the cop. It's cops like that who give the whole profession a bad name. I'm glad he got fired.
