Neurotic Cat Lady Post The Second So Limpy McPegLeg from my prior post is still limping. [More:]Because it's cold, and he really hates cold, it's hard to tell whether it's worsening or if he's just stiff from sleeping and finding warm places during the day. In any case, we called and moved up his dental appointment (because for God's sake it's been $600 on these cats already this month and I love them irrationally but we are not made of money) to tomorrow so that they can look at his foreleg. I really think it's a strain or a stress fracture, and neither thing they can do much about. I would just like to know, because I honestly worry about my mama's boy way too much. Wish us luck tomorrow - for both a non-awful limping diagnosis and also an uneventful dental procedure.
I wish you huge amounts of luck, and I know how it feels to be in this position.

Here's to a quick, not-too-expensive resolution. :)

I wish you a lot of luck. I bet it will be non-awful, and I hope not too expensive. My vet was able to let me go onto a payment plan - maybe yours would do the same, if it eases the blow. For little critters they sure can be expensive.

Good luck! I hope it's minor. Let us know.

I took Sky for an x-ray today for suspected bladder stones... and none showed up, so yay! Yet, still, boo! because she's not okay - peeing a lot, dribbling when she sleeps, licking her lady parts a lot and now, on top of it all, constipation. She was treated for a UTI, and either it didn't take, or who knows what. We have to wait to have another urine culture, and it's killing me that she feels bad.

Oh no! I'm sorry taz. I hope they figure out what her issue is soon.

I dropped the little stinker off at the vet's and it was 1) SO HOT IN THERE and 2) he was so, so whiny. Because he was hungry, and he hates it there. Crossing our fingers for a soft tissue injury.

Cat update: they want him to have a full complement of dental xrays (what?) and they say he has arthritis. Since he's five, I doubt it's osteoarthritis, so I 'm guessing traumatic arthritis, since there was a trauma (the bad jump) before he started limping out of the damn blue. Husband to ask more questions when he goes to get the cat. I can't leave work early today and I'm in full-on cat-mommy-interrogation mode and it's very, very frustrating.
