I've read that, the only reason for the royal gorge bridge was for tourism. Boy did it live up to that name, there are so many crappy tourist traps around the bridge that I wanted to stop and visit them all.

Also, there are two passes, one just to see the bridge (there's a 45 minute time limit or something) and another to see everything, I think the difference was about 4 dollars.

I don't remember the exact price, but it was egregious enough for us to turn around and go back to Boulder, even after driving all the way out there.

(I want to add to this off-topic comment by saying nothing is sadder than an abandoned go-cart track, I counted three on the way to the royal gorge)
