YouTube, MyTube, whatever, I just want it to work... I've been having a problem with YouTube the past four days or so. It keeps freezing up. I play a song, and it plays for a few seconds and stops for a few. I get the little spinny circle in the middle. If I grit my teeth and let the song stop and start all the way through once, it plays okay the second time provided I don't navigate away from the page. I've run a virus scan on my computer and it came up empty. I didn't change anything on my computer four days ago, and before that it was fine. Ideas?
I don't have a solution for you but I feel for you. I've been having vids sputter and get choppy for me. Dog knows what's gong on.

Hmm, so perhaps it isn't us, it's them?

That two-second problem is pretty well known. I don't know the solution, though--maybe restart the browser, maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling Flash.

It happens to me only in Firefox after I've opened an adobe document. Very annoying. I can sometimes get it to go again by restarting the browser, but usually I just switch to IE or safari until the machine slows down and I reboot.

This is pretty much how my YouTube always plays, but I have a lousy connection.

Orange Swan's problem doesn't sound like the 2 second thing. If that was the case the video would stop with no loading symbol or anything. This sounds like more of a connection problem with youtube, which happens from time to time. I don't really know what to make of it not working if you navigate away from the page though. My only advice would be to use the flash uninstaller then install the latest version or possibly an older version.

I was having issues with flash videos a week or so ago and uninstalling and upgrading fixed it.

I have that happen every now and then. I usually switch over to IE to watch the video.

I did as you suggested, puke & cry, and YouTube began working again. Thanks!
