We're fine in my part of Los Angeles, aside from the horrible air quality. We're trying not to go outside too much. I'm sure it'll continue being gross outside for the next few days, although air quality isn't much to complain about considering how many people have lost their homes.
Doing just fine here in Hollywood/Venice. It's made for gorgeous sunsets, somewhat regrettably, but considering our sunsets are already 80% pollution, this really doesn't add much to the stakes. Air quality also hasn't stopped my 30 miles a day on bike.
California's big. I'm fine, but I'm also nowhere near the fires, so I feel weird checking in. I'd assume other central/northern California folks might feel similarly.
Hi! Yeah, Santa Barbara's doing much better these days, the fire's pretty much contained and they're starting to let people back into the affected area. Lotta houses destroyed, and Westmont College (my officemate's alma mater) lost a number of buildings, alas.
I'm not a California People, but I have been in the state for 11 days straight for work. The area I was staying in had a fire, but it didn't really get close to my hotel. I was in Santa Monica that day though and couldn't get back due to closed highways.
My parents are in Brea, but nowhere near the firelines so they're fine. My sister's old neighborhood in Anaheim Hills was evacuated, so she's got the neighbors who used to babysit for my nieces staying at her place. But her new 'hood is fine for now.
