halp! [More:]

I am in the process of applying for permanent hire at the job I've been doing for the past eight months.

One of the significant skills for this position (legal assistant) is the ability to handle a shit tonne of contracts flow in/out of the department without running to the senior partner (my boss) for every damn little thing. You also have to "self-manage" quite a bit.

My brains just fell out of my head and I have no clue how to articulate this. Anyone better at resume stuff that can give me a hand? I also have a 4PM meeting I must rush off to, but whuffles to any/all with suggestions!
Detailed oriented independent worker capable of multitasking?

I have no idea, lfr, but since you've been doing the job for 8 months, they do have an idea of what you can do?

And on a more serious note, I have a pair of lucky socks I wear to interviews. They haven't failed me yet, and you can borrow them, but you might look funny wearing large sized man's dress socks patterned with women diving...

How about, "Proven ability to handle a large volume of contracts; familiarity with the internal processes required." I'll keep thinking about it, & let you know if I come up with something better. I'm guessing "kicks ass at..." probably shouldn't be in there, huh?

thanks and *whuffles* all, I just submitted the package at HR.

the markety-speak I was looking for turned out to be "excellent prioritization, initiative and organizational skills; ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality..."

yea elizard, that's basically code for "kicks ass".

Sleeping on it and listening to the new Justice album whilst writing helped immensely, by the bye.

were it up to AwesomeBoss, he'd explicity put KICKS ASS on the job description, fwiw. by which I mean, if he didn't have to have HR vet it first
