This vid's got it all - big hair, synchronized keytar rocking, whammy dives, gratuitous gear-grinding key change on the last chorus... *sniff* they just just don't make 'em like that anymore. (Also a ridiculously catchy chorus.)
Oh, yeah, forgot the strap spin.

And the drums-and-vox-only sing-along chorus.

I'm listening to this this which has the dual properties of worrying me and cheering me up.

oh poppy songs about domestic violence. How come your contentious lyrics are at odds with your infectious bubble gum sound?

Hm, that's interesting; yeah, I would go with this as, paradoxically, perhaps, a less dissonant accompaniment to the same theme.

That starts off kind of slow, but has at least a few bits which are most sincerely awesome. Seeing keyboard players apply vibrato always strikes me as hilarious. Plus this from the YouTube comments just ices the whatever you call it. Cake.

Oh yeah, RealJerko, like YOU're one to criticize the Keytar. I mean, you've had a Keytar stuck up your ass for more than 20 years now. Why don't you bend over and fart us a couple of tunes, you arrogant douche bag?

I have some friends who saw Bryan Ferry perform about 12 years ago in LA. At one point, Mr. Ferry broke out a keytar with great glamboy flair and a degree of self-aware goofiness, only to play one spazzy BWOOOOOWNNNNG note on it and put it back on it's stand. Friend #1 had a brain bubble...

Friend #1: Oh! It's one of those things that were big in the 80s! What the heck do you call those things...?
Friend #2: (complete deadpan) Lame.

For some reason this story always cracks me up.
