You just made me realize my own voting record. In my first election in '76, Carter barely won me over and I haven't backed a winner since. *shudder* Well, at least nobody can blame me for everything that's gone wrong since 1980.
Oh, and SuperPinkHero, that past few times I've voted, I've thought I was jinxed, so I should "do the opposite." But, I never can do that in good conscience, so I vote for my choice. I've also never felt like I had a really great choice, until now. First time I've walked away feeling good about voting for President.
If Obama loses, I will take up lying, cheating and stealing as a new business plan, knowing that it will be the only way to succeed in America. (Ted Stevens? His only mistake was staying at the scene of the crime so long his getaway car ran out of gas.)
I voted for Clinton both times he ran. Haven't voted for a sitting President since*.
*Though I have voted for the winner twice since then.
How could that be? If you haven't voted for a sitting president since Clinton ran, then you didn't vote for Bush in '04. There have been only two elections since Clinton. Assuming you voted for the winner in '00 (which makes sense), when was the second time you voted for the winner?
