Billy Idol as easy listening shopping music 8 am yesterday I heard Billy Idol's Rebel Yell in our local, yuppie, high end-ish grocery store. (Andronico's for you locals.)[More:]

It made me sad.
Haven't heard "Rebel Yell" as muzak yet, but I've heard his version of "Mony, Mony" and "Eyes Without A Face". I read somewhere that in forty years there will be thousands of tattooed old ladies, and Snoop Dogg will be on the "oldies"!!

The past few years I've noticed they're playing some great old songs in my plain-jane grocery store. Elvis Costello, etc. There's something wrong with rocking out in the grocery store. Guess I'm old.

Years ago, I heard Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar on Me as a muzak flute song in some mall. It was AMAZING. Anyone have it?
