The crazy Alice-Cooper-lookin' dude that you caught a couple of glimpses of in the Telstar trailer I posted last night was a guy named Screaming Lord Sutch. His stage show (which pre-dated Cooper's) featured songs like "Jack The Ripper". Huh, I knew him as founder of the Monster Raving Loony Party - never realized he got his start in music.

For all his looniness and the smiles he brought to people's faces, particularly during General Elections, he was a sad man who suffered from depression. He hanged himself.
