Let me just say I think it's weird that people here would have babies just to increase the number of Metachat members.

@essexjan: DEAR GOD, NO. I can barely afford to feed and clothe myself, let alone a baby. I can't even take care of my roommate's plants on a regular basis.

I mean, take today for example. I was so very excited when I deposited my check because I was all, "Oh dude, I've got like $300 extra dollars this month! I can pay a little more to my credit card and I can pay a little extra to my cell phone bill, and I can pay my therapist a little more and have room left over for new shoes, or $100 worth of fall business clothing..."

And then I remembered that I hadn't socked away the $400 I do twice a month to pay my taxes at the end of the year. (Note: Real estate sales agents are independent contractors, and even though my official title is research assistant, because I'm employed by a broker under the brokerage firm, I have to file my own taxes.) So, after correctly socking that away in my pitifully low-interest savings account where I also keep my rent money, I have about $130 left to last me till the 30th. And I have yet to buy groceries. Or another pack of cigarettes.

But dude! Let's get back to the tally of MeCha babies, shall we?

I'm pretty sure my girls predated my involvement here. Evelyn is four and half and Sophie is seven. If I could think of some way to look it up...I'd bet that Evelyn was born by the time I showed up here. But, you know, just in case we're counting all babbies of mechazens, I've got me two of those there girlie ones.

I think it's pretty even. Gomi, plinth and I have had weiner-havers, while dabitch, gaspode and tr33hggr have gone sans wein. Am I forgetting anyone? I must be.

The Hunger aside, we have more girl children but more current boy babies. If we counted under the double digits, pretty sure we have way more girls, but a bumper crop of penis since the start, which is a surprise.
