What movie are you going to watch this weekend?
Probably one of the Dirty Harry movies that mr. gaspode recorded the other week.

I watched a double-feature of Plan 9 From Outer Space and Ed Wood last night.

Season 5 of The Wire.

We're going to watch Itty Bitty Titty Committee, and no it's not porn. That, and the last two Mad Men.

I just checked out Ani DiFranco: Live at Babeville.

We're going out tonight but I'm not sure what we'll see: Appaloosa, The Duchess or City of Ember.

Something very, very amateur and indie with no production value, hopefully, and/or the total opposite, and most probably something in between.

Continuing my bf's education of classic stoner movies, and so he can finally understand when I ask him to get some beer and some cleaning products - True Romance (we watched The Big Lebowski last weekend). I've also just got Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, about which I'm excited mainly because they made a movie out of a Persephone book - yay!

Either Lord of War, Battle Royale, or Planet Terror. These are the three that zip.ca's sent me. Depends on what I'm in the mood for later on.

Just got Control from Netflix, so that's probably on deck for tonight.

Control is a really really good movie. Saw it in the theatre with a friend and although it was late, we had to go for drinks to discuss its goodness. Be sure to watch for the gig posters in the backgrounds and see how many bands you recognise.

I really, really need to see Control.

Zack, if you watch Battle Royale, I want to hear what you thought of it. That's a really good but disturbing movie. (I hope you're watching the "Special Version," which has some added backstory that wasn't in the theatrical cut.)

Just checked, and I've got the unrated version. Time for a trek to get beer and munchables, since I'm not making it to the electronics store to pick up LED's for a devious art project I'm going to do. I need to find bulk batteries anyways.

Has anyone seen The Fall? (imbd, official site) I've got that on my list to be sent to me next. I'm expecting it to be much like Legend - simple story, stunning visuals.

Invasion of the Bee Girls!

We saw Priceless last night which was completely wonderful (really, I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a film so much), and we meant to watch The Painted Veil tonight but lost track of time.

I watched the Hammer Horror "The House that Dripped Blood" last night, getting geared up for cheesy Halloween scares.

Tonight, I might break down and watch "There Will Be Blood" all by myself. It's one of a stack of DVDs that The Fella and I planned to watch together, but that was three or four days ago, and I've been itching to see it.

hey! scody! I saw Control at the Music Box with a friend of yours. I LOVED it.

I got this one called Descent from Netflix that looked interesting, about a girl whose life spirals down after she's raped in college. I also have Little Miss Sunshine, which I've never seen. But Saturday afternoon's my usual movie time, and I was up seeing my mom in CT then, so they may have to wait until next Saturday. I'll probably also watch some more WKRP on DVD with Jon, which is better than I remembered.

('pode, I had that Dirty Harry series on all day that day... I love me some Dirty Harry)

crush-onastick: hey! I love the small world we live in. I did indeed watch it last night, and loved it too -- amazing performances, plus it was beautifully directed and photographed. Really amazing.

Zack, coincidentally I watched The Fall this weekend. The locations where it was filmed are amazing.
I'm surprised that noone I know noticed the film when it was in the cinemas.
You'll enjoy it. It's a charming movie.
