What's the name of this weird museum I'm thinking of? I think it is in California, and depicts some sort of quirky anachronistic view of an invented past that never was. Sorry I can't give any more details but I can't remember anything else! I've already looked through all the MetaFilter posts tagged with museum.
MUSEUM OF JURASS --

Damn you, danf.

It's a fun place to visit, grouse. Very trippy. It's so well done that it's hard to tell what's real and what's not.

pup, we still don't know if this is the one he means. . .I might only get a half point. I have also never been there, as, any time I am in LA it's with my family, visiting my mom, and POSSIBLY daughter might trip out on it but the rest of my extended family, not their thing, unfortunately.

There's only one that fits that description. It's *got* to be the one that he means.

I'd LOVE to visit the MoJT. The stuff on their website is weirdly beautiful.

The Reagan Library?

The Nixon Library is too good about releasing the tapes.

S'totally it. I went on a Mefi meetup there last time I was in LA. It rules.
