The photo caption says that one of his legs is 1/2" shorter than the other one. So why does one of his shoes have a 3.5" heel, while the other one looks relatively flat??

1.5" shorter. The lift still looks 3.5", though. At least Iggy didn't choose the lime green ones.

Ronnie Van Zant went barefoot. On stage at least. he said he liked to 'feel the stage burn.'

If Les Harvey had been wearing rubber-soled shoes, he might be alive today.

Also, what's Iggy holding in that picture?

Yeah, that'd have to be one of your more spectacular rock deaths. (I've got a few Stone The Crows mp3's. They were pretty damned good.)

Oddly, my daughter wears Crocs all the time because one of her feet is a full size bigger than the other. I suppose they are the preferred footwear of asymmetrical people everywhere.

But the boy wears Chucks, 'cuz he's wicked hardcore.

Jeez, that's a helluva leg length difference. My niece has a difference of about a half inch or so, and only discovered it after doing ballet stuff in "The Nutcracker" every year as she was growing up.

Maybe if she hadn't done that she'd have grown up off-centered and weird without knowing what the problem was, and become a punk icon. Dammit.

Also, can I just say I'm thrilled/surprised to see Iggy still around at 61? He's a cool human being, and used to seem destined for an early expiration date.

Iggy's never been here to make sense. That's why he's my favourite mythical creature. And, I agree with BoPo, I'm glad he's still around.

I've seen a picture of Anthony Keitis wearing grey Crocs - they weren't even the new fashionable style, but the old "sling-back clog" style.

At ACL this year, I saw quite a few Crocs wearers. It was really the first time I've ever thought, "Man, I could use a pair of those" - easy to clean the dust off, cushioned for long periods of standing, and colorful.

I've had a crush on Iggy Pop since he guest-starred on The Adventures of Pete and Pete back in the day as Mona's dad.

They can tart Michelle Trachtenberg up as much as they want, muddgirl, but she will always be Nona Mecklenberg to me. The episode where he sings that song to get her to dance with him is my favorite.
