I love the state fair, and I'm lucky enough that it's on the way to work for me. It's coming up soon, too. Glad you had fun!!

My favorite activity at our state fair is this booth where you throw dimes at a bunch of plates/cups. If your dime lands in a cup, you get to keep the cup. I've spent like $10 each year on that damn game, and have only won one cup. And it was a sucky one.

I don't go on the rides because I have a sensitive inner ear. I have bad memories of me as a child--McDonald's cheeseburger, fries and a vanilla shake pre- carnival ride= BAD idea.

Visiting a State Fair is on my list of things to do before I die. I suspect that, because of fair food, my death will be sooner than I probably anticipate.

Nothing while we were there, Jan (we had lunch immediately before going), but I was sorely temped by all the delicious sweet and fried aromas wafting around.
