MetaChat Radio: Pre-announcement. A ska set, featuring the first wave of ska and some rocksteady,
and bands that pay tribute to it. Music to get your goove on to.→[More:] Waves? Wha? Three waves.
The first is jumping right outta Jamaica in the 50's. The second is from Britain in the late
70's/early 80's (The English Beat, The Specials et al.). The third is (mostly) US-based, and heavier
on the guitars. Me, I'm going for the early and early-sounding stuff. Not so much this and this, but more this. (Artists: Rancid, Dance Hall Crashers, Laurel Aitken.) As always, there's the wiki to educate ya. I'm posting this now as, by the time I get home, there's little warning for people who want to listen.
The show? oh, yeah. Goes from 8pm Pacific to about 10pm, maybe a bit later unless others want to 'cast.
