Oh my god. I just bought four pounds of cherry tomatoes at the farmer's market. A good number are earmarked for a cranberry bean salad, and a few others for a bean soup destined for the freezer, and some more for generalized snacking but...surely...there are enough left over for that delicious monstrosity. YES.
All hail the immortal Tatin sisters! Apple and pear are the classics, it's so thrilling when you flip it over and it doesn't stick. And if it does? Apple/pear crumble over ice cream.
I'll try this one. Savory tarts, olive, onion, anchovies, are great.
However, I'm always looking for ways to have a slightly less rich crust for everyday eating.
