Two kinds of people in this world - those that wander while brushing their teeth and those that hover. Which are you?[More:]I tend to go in phases. Right now I'm in a wander phase, maybe because I'm feeling a little impatient. And I'm a bit of a multitasker. I'll take a glass and put it in the sink, or throw away a napkin. Other times I'll just look around, maybe out the window.
Now you know.
I always hover at the sink.

Wandering would only prolong the agony.

Ha! I was just wandering with my toothbrush in my mouth five minutes ago, checking on a thread over at Mefi. I always hover over the sink at night, but sometimes during daytime toothbrushings I just get a little impatient.

I have one of those sonicare brushes that has a timer on. I regularly pace back and forth through the bathroom while it does it's magic.

I'm more of the wandering type. I usually walk around a bit and then sit down somewhere while I brush.

Hover, because if I wandered, there would be toothpaste all over the apartment. Seriously, I make an incredible mess when I brush my teeth. I like to get the toothpaste *really* lathered up before I start brushing, and then I hover and it all comes out my mouth. I would have to brush my teeth naked if I wandered.

Whoa. I never thought about it, but that's me too. I brush before doing anything else in the morning. It's something that I've got to get out of the way before doing other things, but that doesn't mean I can't do other things at the same time.

Likewise, I brush right before getting into bed. At that point, I'm done doing things. Period. So there are no things to be done, or places to go, while brushing.

I always brush my teeth in the shower, and there's only so far I can wander. But to be as completely efficient as possible I let the conditioner sit in my hair while I brush my teeth and floss.

I wander. I hate brushing my teeth, so I try to distract myself by looking for something worth wandering about. I have yet to find it.

holy cow, brilliant... I hate just standing there with the conditioner in, so I'm going to try this.

Hover. I have to keep my head tilted down so I don't wind up with crusty, minty-fresh facial hair.

For me brushing teeth is a perfect opportunity for a good wank. Multitasker.

Hover.

There is a third category, to which Mr. Moon belongs, brushing teeth in the shower. He's big on multi-tasking.

I hover in the morning, because I'm usually way too tired to wander, but I do wander at night sometimes. Also, I shave my legs while the conditioner is sitting in my hair.

I also brush in the shower when I have conditioner in my hair. Other than that I hover when I'm in a rush. I wander when I'm not.

At school in the suite bathroom I wandered like a motherfucker (usually sending messages). At home, wandering is strictly frowned upon and so I brush in the shower/stay at the sink and mope because I'm awake at some godawful hour.

When the conditioner's in my hair I turn off the water and rub body scrub all over. Then I rinse off both the conditioner and the scrub, soap up with a little shower gel and get all squeaky clean.

I have to hover while I brush. It's a small shower stall.

I bet you can do that pat-head-rub-belly thing too. Show-off.

wander. always.

People wander? Ah, what a great great canvas is the world. I never considered wandering. I don't think I've even observed wandering. I hover.

i have wandered but i hover, as if forced stillness will finish it quicker.

I'm brushing my teeth right now.

Wander. It drives Mrs. Doohickie nuts.

I sometimes wander - I was last night, but when I went into my bedroom, the vibrations from my 'leccy toothbrush made my eyes go funny and the TV was jiggling. Kinda weird. Also - it was hard trying to carry a full basket of washing while brushing my teeth.

I wander around. I also wander around while I'm on the phone.

I wander in the bathroom. My current bathroom is quite small, so my wandering is well contained.

I hover. Otherwise I have white spots on my shirt in inappropriate locations. (around here we call it "the shelf" as in "yo, danielle, you dropped some crumbs on the shelf")
I don't think I brush long enough.
My stepdad was told he brushes his teeth too long and with too much force, though. he was brushing the enamel right off them, apparently.
I didn't even know someone could do that.

I roam all over my apartment, usually noticing how badly I need to tidy up.

The fear of tripping, falling, and jamming my toothbrush into the back of my throat, busting my glottis or choking to death on Cresty bristles, keeps me from wandering. This was actually drilled into me as a kid, along the "don't run with scissors" line. For similar reasons I think it's rude to carry on bathroom drills in front of others, but I guess part of living with loved ones is tolerating and even encouraging little rudenesses.

I'm with gaspode. I'd make a huge freakin mess if I wandered. Plus, that whitening toothpaste will never ever come out of your clothes.
