I just got a new mp3 player, so....
1 Sugar - Copper Blue
2 Sugar - Copper Blue
3 Sugar - Copper Blue
and so on. I've only copied one record to it, in a hurry I was.

On the computer though? I'm going to remove the Christmas tunes though:

Adult Teeth - Statues
Keep on Moving - Green on Red
Knocked Up - Kings of Leon
Shine - Doughboys
We've Got Everything - Modest Mouse
"A" bomb in Wardour Street - The Jam
#1 Joyride - Junkhouse (which is kinda funny, because I just posted about Tom here)
(Don't Go Back to) Rockville - REM
Paperback Writer - The Beatles
She's the One - Bruce Springsteen

Hope Leaves -- Opeth (I am so very ashamed!)
Takin' A Ride -- The Replacements (that's more like it!)
Flamenco Sketches -- Miles Davis
2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten -- Lucinda Williams (Haven't heard this in a while. What a great tune. "Junebug versus hurricane. Hey hey.")
Free Range -- The Fall (Mark-uh E-uh Smith-uh rules-uh.)
Violin Sonata 2-3 Andante -- JS Bach
Live at the O.M.N.I. -- Goodie Mob

I'm half way through deleting everything on my 40 Gb Creative Zen (I filled it and thought that was a good occasion to start all over again). I'm deleting by genres, and some of the biggest genres are already gone (Power Pop, Garage, Punk Pop, and Alternative), so I'm actually real curious what comes up.

Here goes nothing with some real time comments...

1. Ennio Morricone - Una Lucertola con la Pelle di Donna (from the awfully cool Crime and Dissonance collection of Morricone's weirder music put together by Mike Patton.

2. Paul McCartney - Another Day - Nice, harmless, simple ear candy.

3. Chicago - Feelin' Stronger Every Day - I didn't remember putting this on my MP3 player, but once it got going I remembered that I really like this cheeseball song.

4. Paul McCartney - Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five - Hmmmm, more Macca?

5. Josh MacRae - High Class Feeling - A nice country shuffle from 1961 off of one of the British Beat Before the Beatles collections.

6. Beatles - I Want to Tell You - I actually just reloaded the entire Beatles catalog and many of the solo records, so I shouldn't be surprised that 50% of the stuff showing up so far are Beatles related.

7. ABC - Love's a Dangerous Language - From ABC's guitar album with a slight Roxy Music fetish - my fave from them.

8. Beatles - Don't Bother Me - OK, now this is just too much.

9. Supergrass - Alright - All these years later this song still makes me smile - that paino is so goofy.

10. Monkees - Papa Gene's Blues - A twangy Mike Nesmith song and one of my faves from the Monkees catalog. "Play magic fingers!".

It's weird playing shuffle-a-gogo with so much of the meat of my music missing. I can't wait to do this again in a few months when I'm reloaded to capacity again.
