When I read this story saying that Biden took Obama's VP call in the middle of having a root canal, I immediately thought of this Bill Cosby routine about dentists and novacaine.
"Yesh, I wud wuv to be yur VP!"

That is strange. I remember distinctly that during the Anita Hill hearings, Biden had a root canal on "swing shift." Dude must get a lot of root canals.
