Everything That Happens Will Happen Today For the most part, Brian (Eno) did the music and I (David Byrne) wrote some tunes, words and sang. It's familiar but completely new as well.
Heh, I bought the deluxe package today since I worked a couple of hours of overtime. Figured it'd be a nice treat for me. I'm definitely going to see them when they come through Denver. WOOOT!!

I like this a lot, and David Byrne is one of my favorite peoples. It's a win win thingie for me. Now to see if I can get him to sign it like I have my Richard Thompson "1000 years of popular music" signed....

I am love love loving this album. (Bought the CD, but am listening to the free MP3s already.) I love Eno's ambient/experimental stuff, but his pop music side is a side we don't get to see often enough.

This album is lovely. I know, that word is best used for things far more delicate than this, but it works for me.

I haven't heard this yet and I'm nervous to because My Life in the Bush of Ghosts was such a great album and I'm worried that this one won't measure up to the hype of them making an album together after 27 years.
So, the consensus is that it's good?

chococat, it's good in that it's different, but by the same 2 guys. There was no attempt to try and repeat the earlier album, but rather they just wanted to make some more music together. Go to the link and listen to the free MP3, and decide for yourself.

Almost done listening now. Sounds like a Byrne/Eno album, which is both good and bad.
I don't know why, but My Life in the Bush of Ghosts never grabbed me. I appreciate it in concept, but every now and then I'll put it back on and I'm always like "yup, still nothing". I guess some albums are just like that.

I keep listening and loving, virtually nonstop since I posted this. Can't wait for Chicago tickets to go on sale! None of Byrne's other solo stuff has grabbed me like this.

Okay I like what I hear so far. May have to buy it.
Totally different than what I was expecting, but in a good way. Thanks for the tip.
