An attempted wind project in my county may yet survive, but the two townships targeted both passed ordinances severely limiting windmill placement. There was a lot of rhetoric about the "greedy" and "unscrupulous" power company (a non-local wind-only outfit). From some of the spiteful letters to the editor you'd think wind was dirtier than coal.
