Best explanation/visualization of relativity I've ever seen. Yeah, the production style is quite dated, but I've never come across a clearer layman's explanation. Holy ****, my mind is blown (in a good way)!
thank you treepour

What has stuck with me since the first time I saw it was Carl Sagan's explanation for the speed of light and what would happen if you were to travel close to it. From "Cosmos": Part 1, 2. Very bizarre stuff that makes your brain itch.

Oh, man, I loved watching that show. They showed it on PBS every Saturday morning and it was my show. My high school had the textbook that went with that series. I was convinced I was going to be a physics major in college, get a phd and all that.

Then I took physics and sucked at it.

Sweet! The related videos kept me busy for awhile, as well.

I'd never thought about the implications of that sphere of light expanding as a cone in 4-D spacetime. Nifty. That's illuminating! (rimshot)

Light - by the time you see it coming, it's already gone.
